Our client is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with experience handling mass arbitration and/or mass tort matters. Ideal candidates will be tech‑savvy, have excellent writing skills, and be interested in identifying defendants while working closely with the lead generation team to identify claimants, plaintiffs, and members of matters. Candidates should have proven first‑chair experience in depositions and mediations, with trial experience preferred. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high‑impact litigation across multiple jurisdictions and complex, large‑scale cases.
Responsibilities
- Participate in complex civil litigation matters, with a focus on consumer protection
- Act as first chair in depositions and mediations, and present motions/arguments at hearings and trials
- Identify defendants and develop cases/matters to pursue; collaborate with lead generation to add claimants, members, and plaintiffs
- Support all phases of discovery and motion practice in state and federal courts
- Draft substantive motions, complaints, responses, and appellate briefs; prepare and present arguments
- Conduct investigations and legal research to support case strategy
- Collaborate with internal teams, co‑counsel, and litigation support to execute strategic plans
- Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, opposing counsel, and stakeholders, providing timely updates to partners and clients
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state
- 4–6 years of experience in complex civil litigation, including class actions, mass torts, or mass arbitration
- First‑chair experience running depositions and mediations; trial experience preferred
- Ability to monitor news, public sources, and civil filings to identify emerging defendants and litigation trends
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self‑motivated and capable of working independently or collaboratively
- Tech‑savvy candidates strongly preferred
Location: Remote; East Coast preferred
Compensation: Base $120K–$160K salary, plus lucrative performance‑based bonus, possible signing bonus, and comprehensive benefits package.
