Associate Attorney, Plaintiff’s Civil Litigation Firm (Raleigh)

Our client, a well-established national law firm fighting for plaintiffs’ rights, is seeking an Associate Attorney with excellent writing skills to join their dynamic legal team. Ideal candidates will have proven experience drafting complaints, motions, and legal responses, as well as preparing and responding to discovery requests. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact litigation across multiple jurisdictions, with exposure to complex, large-scale cases.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in complex civil litigation matters, with a focus on mass arbitration, class actions, and personal injury matters
  • Support all phases of discovery and motion practice in state and federal courts
  • Draft substantive motions, complaints, and responses
  • Contribute to appellate briefs and oral argument preparation
  • Support case strategy development through investigations and legal research
  • Collaborate with internal teams, co-counsel, and litigation support to execute strategic plans
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, opposing counsel, and stakeholders, providing timely updates and guidance to partners and clients

 

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active license (or eligible to transfer under the UBE portability program) to practice law in North Carolina
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently or collaboratively
  • Tech-savvy candidates are preferred
  • Experience in complex civil litigation, including class actions or mass arbitration is a plus

 

Location: Raleigh, NC – In-office position

Compensation: $85K–$140K base salary, plus substantial performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
