We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with strong writing skills and 3–5 years of complex civil litigation experience to join a plaintiff-side litigation team. This role involves handling high-impact cases, including class actions and individual employment matters, with a primary focus on ERISA litigation.
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of litigation: pleadings, discovery, motions, trials, and appeals
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Draft and argue motions in state and federal courts
- Assist with trial preparation and participate in trials
- Contribute to appellate briefs and oral arguments
- Perform legal research and develop case strategies
- Communicate regularly with clients and collaborate with litigation teams
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) and active North Carolina law license preferred
- 3–5 years of litigation experience (class actions or complex civil preferred)
- Strong writing skills
- Exposure to motion practice, depositions, trial advocacy, and appellate work
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical abilities
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Federal court experience, clerkship, and plaintiff-side background
Location: Raleigh, NC – In-office position
