MotionLit is looking for a reliable, tech-savvy trial technician with experience working in civil trials and presenting exhibits using industry-standard trial presentation software. This is a remote position or optional in-person. In person would be required when requested for management, client meetings, events, mediations, or courtroom trials. Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours, have a strong work ethic, and be available for travel—primarily within Southern California, but occasionally throughout the state or out of state if necessary. Applicants must have a working vehicle with a valid driver’s license (company vehicles are available if needed). Professional business attire is required during trials and client meetings. Attendance at marketing and social events may also be required, including evenings and weekends when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills
Knowledge in litigation support, computers, OnCue presentation software (or similar), and A/V support is required. Applicants should have experience in:
- Database creation and management
- Pre-trial exhibit preparation/optimization
- Deposition video editing and syncing
- Coordinating data with law firms, experts, and attorneys
- Exhibit preparation and modifications
- Recalling and live-presenting impeachment clips, testimony, and documents on-the-fly during trial using trial software
Graphic design skills are highly desired and may be required for trial or pre-trial preparations, including use of PowerPoint, Photoshop, Premiere, Final Cut, or other Adobe products. Applicants must be able to set up and tear down trial equipment such as projectors, TVs, LED screens, Elmos, and other devices—these tasks are required for nearly every trial. Initial on-the-job training will be provided.
