Business Development Manager (Legal and Intellectual Property)

Summary:


US Based company seeks to grow sales presence in the EU. Candidates will be based in the UK, preferably in or near London. We are seeking senior sales executives (hunters) with experience selling into the European legal vertical (law firms and corporations) to develop business (new logos) throughout Europe. Candidates may also sell into the middle east and APAC regions. The company is a provider of global patent filing services, as well as legal translation and localization solutions.
Requirements:


• 3+ years selling some type of legal technology solution
• Net new logo sales success is required, top-ranked sales award winners preferred
• Self-starters to work their own desk
• Proficiency with MS Office suite as well as video conferencing technologies
• Marketing experience is a must, including use of CRM’s, Social Medial, and email marketing solutions
• Candidates with experience in legal translations and localization solution sales are preferred

Responsibilities:
• Daily phone prospecting
• Attend industry events, networking
• Meet/exceed monthly and annual revenue targets
• Market research and sales target selection
• Develop and implement marketing programs to create brand awareness
• Maintain up to date knowledge of industry landscape and trends
• Manage time between office, field, and home office
• Demonstrate effective communication skills
• Excellent writing skills a must
• Must be self-motived with a strong sense of urgency
• Create and maintain a strong sales pipeline
• Frequent, last minutes travel across Europe will be required, up to 50% travel at some times

Location: United Kingdom (remote)
Compensation: Base commensurate with experience plus an aggressive commission plan

Qualifications

o Legal vertical experience required; IP experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, JD is a plus


Location: Major US Markets (remote)
Compensation: Base commensurate with experience plus an aggressive commission plan, first year OTE $200-300K
