Director of Practice Solutions (Remote)

Position Overview:  The Director of Practice Solutions Consulting will focus on KM solutions for large law firms.  This individual will work to expand existing capabilities geared toward knowledge management within Am Law 200 and global law firms. The ideal candidate will have substantial KM experience within law firms and consultancies and shall be responsible for leading a team of consultants in their practice area. Experience with enterprise search product selection and implementation, portals and intranets, business intelligence within the KM function, and advising clients on using vendor-based low/no-code solutions, including newly evolving AI technologies, are also required. 

Responsibilities

• Design task work plans 
• Design and implement a business plan and Pro Forma to achieve success of practice group
• Design policies and procedures, guide team on legal and compliance issues as well as best practices
• Effective coordination with other practice groups regarding the integration of related consulting and technical services
• As part of senior management, collaborate to develop organizational strategies and methods to ensure the highest quality services for internal and external clients/teams
• Attend conferences, CIO and CKO Roundtable, and present/contribute to same
• Ensure delivery of client projects on time and within budget 
• Generate revenue via new client development and upselling additional services
• Participate in sales presentations 
• Act as Thought Leader, develop content supporting practice development 

Requirements

• Extensive experience Interacting with senior law firm practice leaders and administration and C-Level Executives 
• 8+ years in law firm KM space
• History of policy development and defining best practices
• Significant experience directing and managing large projects while maintaining effective communications with senior management 
• Gap analysis experience as a Consultant and as a Manager
• 3+ years leading project management teams
• Expert knowledge of and ability to speak to best practice concepts, issues, and challenges, including technology, concepts, cultural nuance, controls, and system integration 
• BS/BA; MBA or JD preferred
• Travel to US and UK to clients, conferences, or company meetings

Location: Remote  Compensation: Salary range: $185-225K+ base plus variable comp and benefits (Health, life, dental, and disability insurance; PTO; Retirement Plan)
