Director of Professional Services, Law Firm Consulting (Remote)

Position Overview: Our client is a provider of consulting services to major law firms and corporate legal departments. Working closely with a team of highly experienced thought leaders, the Director of Professional Services shall manage deliverables and ensure the highest level of customer service. This individual will oversee all project management activities, set and manage execution of firmwide best practices, and have full P&L responsibility for their division.
Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director shall oversee project management best practices, kickoffs, risk management, quality assurance
  • Manage department budget, track expenses
  • Lead company’s project management team
  • Identify opportunities for increased sales revenues
  • Ensure client satisfaction
  • Continuous improvement of deliverables, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Handle escalation process and resolve final matters
  • Quality Assurance – Program development and execution
  • Hire, train, manage, and mentor internal teams and manage project staffing
  • Project Estimation – Ensuring that our project plans meet our best practices
  • As part of the company’s leadership team, suggest idea, guidance, strategy, policies and practices toward the organization’s goal of continuous process improvement
  • Assist business development team
  • Develop and maintain relationships with decision makers at Am Law
  • Present at industry event, trade shows, CIO Roundtables, and author articles/white papers
  • Achieve yearly billable target
    Requirements
  • BA or equivalent
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience
  • 3+ years consultative project management experience
  • 3+ years leading a service practice
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Leadership qualities
  • Ability to address evening and weekend requirements as needed
  • Travel as needed

Location: Remote U.S.
Compensation: Salary range: $175-200K+ base plus variable comp and strong benefits

Senior Consultant, Document Management Services (Remote)

Position Overview:  Supported by a team of highly experienced thought leaders, our client is a provider of consulting services to major law firms and corporate legal departments.  The Lead Consultant will have knowledge of law firm matter file management, will help develop the DMS practice, and both deploy and manage resources to Am Law 200 clients.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the practice Director, the Lead Consultant l lead the DMS group and offer directional advice regarding operations, strategy, process improvement and deliverables
  • Asses, analyze, and design content lifecycle document management systems for electronic client files
  • Integrate lifecycle management IG, InfoSec, and privacy policies
  • Deploy IG, email, security and privacy policies according to the DMS.
  • Make recommendations to clients and their staff based on analysis and review of DMS
  • Oversee design & implementation of DMS systems using technologies such as NetDocs, iManage and other leading deployments
  • Maintain expert level of technical industry knowledge
  • Develop long term plans, implementation timeframes, and application implementation schedules
  • Define, document, and implement best practices for the DMS group
  • Develop and maintain relationships with DMS technology vendors
  • Possess and maintain relevant industry and technology certifications
  • Mentor and coach DMS group team members
  • Act as SME, maintain highest level of knowledge and training regarding DMS
  • Speak/write for industry publications, conferences, events, and CIO Roundtables

Requirements

  • 5+ years of law firm consulting experience providing analysis, design, implementation, administration, and support of electronic document management systems
  • 5 + years of leading Attorney Focus Group sessions 
  • 2+ years SQL, iManage, and or NetDocuments databases and schema
  • 7+ years consulting on complex, large-scale implementations and product rollouts 
  • 2+ years integrating desktop applications with DMS
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • 2+ years analyzing, designing, and implementing MS Windows server based networks
  • HP Records Manager, Universal Search, and Control Point Certification preferred
  • Experience as a DMS topic expert speaker and writer
  • BA or equivalent, Travel up to 75%

Director of Document Management Services (Remote) DMS

Position Overview:  Supported by a team of highly experienced thought leaders, our client is a provider of consulting services to major law firms and corporate legal departments.  The Director of Document Management Services shall develop and maintain relationships with contacts at Am Law 200 firms while managing a team of highly skilled technology consultants in their practice group.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director shall lead the DMS group and offer directional advice regarding operations, strategy, process improvement and deliverables

  • Financial analysis and review.
  • Set operations goals, implement plans designed to schedule organizational objectives

  • Analyze and design lifecycle management within the DMS
  • Align plans with client’s IG, Cybersecurity and privacy policies.
  • Analyze and assess client content lifecycle management system, then present findings and recommendations
  • Implement and recommend tech solutions such as NetDocs, iManage and other leading DMS solutions
  • Design, document, implement, deploy, and manage implementations of DMS systems.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage long term resource and project plans
  • Develop and refine existing design and implementation methodologies
  • Develop and maintain vendor and partner relationships
  • Maintain knowledge and certifications as needed
  • Act as a subject matter expert representing company at events, speaking engagements, and creating whitepapers

Requirements

  • 3+ years of document management consulting experience to large law firms
  • 3+ years business development experience
  • 3+ years managing billable staff
  • Complex ECM consulting that includes analysis, design, implementation, administration, and support of DMS and related systems
  • 7 or more years of consulting experience within in the Legal Vertical, including large scale implementations and close interaction with senior Attorneys
  • Basic knowledge of SQL databases including HP WorkSite databases and schema.
  • Knowledge of desktop application integration with document management systems is a must
  • IRM preferred
  • BA or equi9vialent
  • Past speaking engagements at elite industry events and published written pieces
