Litigation Paralegal
Are you looking for a great opportunity to work as a Paralegal with a global law firm? We are seeking candidates with excellent verbal and written communication skills to join a complex litigation team in Miami, FL. This individual will handle complex class action matters and should have a Paralegal certificate or JD along with strong organizational skills. Our client is a global law firm specializing in class action lawsuits in the pursuit of advocating for the rights of victims against major corporations.
Responsibilities:
· Preparation of pleadings, motions, complaints, summons, subpoenas, and discovery requests
· Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, and procedural rules
· Analyze, review, and interpret data, prepare reports
· Create and file documents for federal and state court systems
· Manage requests and deadlines among multiple parties
· Manage and review docket, ensure deadlines are met
· Indexing and file pleadings and case documents
· Communicate with clients regarding case status, document collections, other matters related to discovery
Requirements:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· 1-5 years of Paralegal or Legal Assistant experience
· Knowledge of, or ability to analyze and follow local rules for Federal Court filings
· Microsoft Office proficiency
· Detail oriented
· Strong research and analytical skills
· Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks
· Associates Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Certified Florida Paralegal preferred.
