Our client, a well-established family law firm in Charleston, SC, is seeking a dedicated and ambitious Associate Attorney to join their thriving practice. This opportunity is ideal for a professional eager to grow with the firm, with potential for partnership and eventually taking over the practice within several years. Key Qualifications:
Licensed and admitted to the South Carolina Bar.
2+ years of experience in family law, whether as a practicing attorney or as a paralegal/legal assistant supporting a family law practice.
Litigation experience is a plus; however, a genuine desire to work as a litigator is required.
Proficiency with technology, including advanced Excel skills, is essential.
Strong financial acumen, especially in performing asset division and child support calculations.
Ability to handle complex negotiations and represent clients effectively in litigation.
Proficiency with MS office suite required, Clio preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Manage family law cases, including divorce, child custody, and support matters.
Conduct asset division and child support calculations with accuracy and efficiency.
Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients in court proceedings as needed.
Participate in business development activities, including networking and establishing referral networks to expand client base.
Educational Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business or a related field.

Location: This is an in-office position. We welcome local candidates as well as those willing to relocate.
Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses. Up to $500/month credit/payment toward health insurance, 6 weeks vacation per year (2 weeks at end of year plus 4 more weeks of vacation/personal/sick days), most Fridays are half-days. Dog friendly office.
