AI Data Science Review Analyst
Responsibilities
The AI Review Analyst will support technology, project management, and sales teams on eDiscovery best practices to provide support for clients’ legal matters. This individual will also interact with and provide support for external clients by recommending proper eDiscovery technologies, guiding workflow and collections, processing data, and managing review.
The Analyst will consult internally to handle complex database issues, advanced review matters, and matching search criteria with client requirements and methodologies. Recommendations to utilize specific and relevant eDiscovery technologies, including company’s proprietary AI technology, will be made to both internal and external clients.
DESCRIPTION
- Create efficient and effective collections, processing, and review workflows while being mindful of budget, risk and defensibility
- Advise law firms and corporate clients regarding the use of Technology Assisted Review (TAR) as well as identifying, preserving, and collections ESI
- Ensure proper use of advanced eDiscovery best practices including Early Case Assessment, Data Analytics, de-duping and near de-duping, email threading, and technology assisted review
- Participate in Meet and Confer Conferences
- Manage budgets and timelines, act as an escalation point for PM team
- Manage multiple simultaneous complex matters
- Document all strategies and decisions for each matter
- Train internal and external team members to use various technology platforms as needed
- Act as SME regarding use of Analytics in review
- Act as AI expert consultant supporting business development team during sales demos
- Execute technology demos remotely or in-person
- Meet with attorneys and paralegals as needed
- Suggest appropriate technology for client proposals
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of Legal Technology experience with a law firm or eDiscovery vendor
- Advanced knowledge of the use of AI technology in eDiscovery and TAR
- Take steps to ensure defensibility
- Understanding of recall rate, precision rate, random sampling, confidence level, and margin of error
- Knowledge or experience in utilizing these statistics in eDiscovery cases
- Experienced in the successful management of client expectations throughout projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Travel to other company offices and client sites as needed
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Strong MS office suite skills
- Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills
PREFERRED
- Accustomed to working with little direction in a global team setting
- Experience testifying in court and/or consulting to attorneys regarding Technology Assisted Review methodologies
- Knowledge of the document review process
- Willingness and ability to author custom software development specifications for specific products or matters
